The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce (RFCC) recognized Miss Kitty’s Fishing Getaways as its January Business of the Month Thursday, Jan. 6.

Dawn Huff started Miss Kitty’s Fishing Getaways as a way to market her home on Copano Bay as a vacation rental. She and her staff now manage more than 160 homes and condos in Rockport and Fulton; recently expanding to include a luxury line of short term rentals called Pure Rockport while continuing to operate as the onsite management company for Laguna Reef Condominiums. She has served on the Tourism Development Council from 2009 - 2018 as Vice Chairman and Chairman the last two years and rejoined the council in 2021. She also has provided lodging for and sponsors various chamber events; donated rooms to CCA fundraising banquets; supported “Babes on the Bay”; supported the short term rental advocacy; and donated to other organizations that reach out for fundraising.

Recently she started the Aransas Short Term Rental Advocacy Coalition in support of fair and beneficial regulations for short term rentals and was awarded the “Destinationaire Award” in 2021 by the Slick Talk Hospitality Podcast. Miss Kitty’s Fishing Getaways stands out for giving the personal service and attention to detail that only a small company can offer while also providing the latest technology and industry standards of a large corporation. They will continue to offer exceptional services to their homeowners and guests, be a great company to work for, and grow their involvement in the community.
